the first of my children is taller than me!
it has finally happend!!! Tarah is getting taller than me......I knew it would happen sooner or later but sooner was a lot faster than I anticipated. I put an Easter pick of her looking over me on my profile..........
the land of babysitting.............
Things have been very busy again this week. I am watching my niece Ashley until school starts. Her and Johnny are having a great time. We went to the library yesterday, swimming one day and I try to keep them busy with activities each day. I have also been playing tennis with my sister Teresa 2-3 times a week. It has really been fun and I feel so much better afterwards.

Church picnic............lots of animals
We had a great time even though it was 104 degrees today. It was our church picnic. Heather and Cory came with us. Ashley had spent the night so she was there also and had the best time of all........
OK, the pic of Kevin and Johnny petting the lama is actually them leaving the vistor zone and getting in trouble for touching unauthourized animals.
There were so many cool animals. We had fun. The kids got to pet a Lemur, like in Madagascar! A spider monkey was addicted to the sweat on our hands. We saw some of the largest horse breeds. We also saw a camel running across a field doing his mick jagger impression.......

last day of VBS!!! Yeah....
I am so happy that today is the last day of VBS. We are having a petting zoo and it will be loads of fun. Johnny is going to get to see all the baby animals. I will take some pictures.
I am waiting to see what Tarah's new hair looks like...my mom took her to have it done yesterday. Grandma says it looks great.
I'll be back later, I've got to go get ready!

Prayers for Don Barclay and Vacation Bible School
What I crazy week we are having. I spent last week helping out with the funeral for a wonderful man from our church. I made a power point presentation of all of the wife's favorite pictures and printed them out for the tables at the luncheon. I also made enough mashed potatos to feed 75 people. Now I am busy this week with vacation bible school. I have 6 kids in my "tribe" they are all 4 years old. What a trip they are. We are having a great time. I was talked into being in a small skit for the opening day. I was a nervous wreck but I lived through it. I roped Heather into being a teacher too. We had a hard time finding volunteers. I hope she still loves me by the end of the week............
I am asking everyone I know to keep Tarah's grandfather Don in their prayers. We need a miracle to save his life from cancer. I am just trying to be strong for Tarah and Don and Fran. I am posting some pictures from Tarah's 13th b-day to show what a sweet wonderful man he is. He is one of the most wonderful men I have ever known.

Fireworks~maybe~yep here it comes........
We had more company on Saturday and Sunday. Larry and Norma came to see us from San Antonio. They brought their 2 cutie pies~ Alexis who is almost 3 and Ben who is 9 months.
We got on the shuttle bus to go see the fireworks on Saturday and never made it off of the bus. Due to threatened rain and lots of lightning. We let the kids run around in the back yard with the glow sticks I bought them for the occasion.
Fireworks were rescheduled for the next night. So Sunday night we piled in the trucks and parked by the lake in a beautiful fishing spot so we could relax by the water drink a little beer and watch the show. The kids seem to have a good time and they (fireworks) weren't half-bad.
