A week until Meghan turns 1~

Johnny has a new set of favorite characters from TV. Mickey and Minnie mouse top the list followed by Handy Manny. Of course there is my personal favorite The Doddlebops~I can not get that horrible theme song out of my head!!!
Johnny has a new bed. He picked it out himself at IKEA. It is about a foot longer than a toddler bed. He seems much more comfortable and is sleeping in his own bed all night once again. He loves the tent we got to go on it.

Meghan is all about the grown-up food. Her favorites are pastas and crackers.

Meghan's first spagetti dinner!
I am working on get the kids room kid proof for Meghan. She wants to play in ALL the rooms of the house now.

well the ice and croup is gone for now.....

I will add a few of the pcitures I have taken later today. For now I will let you that we are all feeling better and the roads are clear again.

It has been a really busy week. I started classes and the kids are getting used to being at Aunt Teresa's house during the day. We will have a pretty good routine set up in the next few weeks. It is going well so far. I really love having a class with Teresa. It is a nice change to know someone.

Tarah got her report card for last semester. She is on the A/B honor roll again! She had all A's and an 87 in Algebra. (maybe she will help me with my homework) We are so proud of her. She works hard and has always been such a smart girl.

Meghan is climbing up on everything and trying to stand up by herself. She can eat the smallest piece of fuzz off the floor but still has trouble getting a piece of mac n' cheese into her mouth.

Ice storm incoming!

Well we have hunkered down to wait out the ice storm. It really sucks here. Everything is covered in ice. I am worried we will lose power. At least we have a fire place and could put food outside if needed.

I start school on Tuesday so I have been getting everything ready ,clean and organized as much as possible.

The kids are still fighting off this horrible croup. Lots of mucus and sneezing. It has been almost 3 weeks now. I may have to take them to the doctor on Wednesday to make sure there is nothing more I can do to help them get over this. I have tried everything so far.

Feeling better~

We have all been fighting a bug this week, while we were fighting off fleas. The kids are finally getting over the croup.
I had a great time carrying two small sick kids while I took my 2 giant dogs to the vet and then to the groomers. But the house is bug bombed and the truck was bombed too! I got the chance to wash all the clothes and dishes in the house. It was also a great chance to wash all the stroller and car seats! But the fleas are Dead! (I pray!)

Thank goddness Tarah is home to help out. She is amazing when it comes to helping out around the house.

The great migration has begun!

Meghan is trying out her new limits! The gates close off the kitchen.
Where did all the wires go? They were here earlier. I used the sides from her wooden cradle to hide all the wires for the TV. It will do until we get a new TV stand.
Here is my favorite picture of Tarah from the Nativity.

Once again I must move all of my smaller furniture and decorations into the garage to wait out a crawling toddler. In a few years I will be able to decorate my house once again. I had to move everything small at least 3 feet off the ground.

Welcome to DSL, Judy! We hope it helps you see us better!

Happy New Year

First an update on Brandon, and thank you so much to my family for your concern and prayers for him. He is unable to have surgery at this time and is undergoing several courses of chemo. It is going to be a rough year for his family but Brandon is the toughest little boy there is and I have faith that he is going to be OK.

We had a busy Christmas. Taking 5 kids out of town was a challenge but we did it and they ended up having fun. We went to the Alamo after it quit raining. We had wonderful visits with our family and friends.

While we were gone, Meghan kept crawling in front of everyone but me. She graduated to full blown crawling from one side of the room to the other after we got home. Turns out she has a fascination with power cords! Life is a whole new ball game.
