Family Christmas Pictures

Meghan is truly a "princess" she loves to wear fancy dresses and spin around granting wishes!

This is my favorite Christmas picture of the kids. Tarah insisted no Santa pic for her, so I settled for a picture in front of the tree at church.

This is a wonderful pic of the kids as we were decorating the tree. I don't know how I got them to all wear the hats at one time.

Tarah took this great picture of us.

Johnny was Peter Pan in the schooll fairy tale parade. I made this cute little costume the night before and then they tell me the feather was the wrong color and in the wrong place. No one at school noticed though.

Johnny comes home every day with some type of cute class project. These are his raindeer antlers.

This is our family Christmas photo. Expect to see it in a variety of Christmas presents this year.

A day after Thanksgiving feast with friends...

We went to our friends house on Friday and spent the day letting the kids play and eating a lot more food. There were several deep fried turkeys, faijtas (spicy) and lots of beer for those of us not driving. Larry and Norma's children are only months apart from Johnny and Meghan and have been very close since they could walk.

Each year I get the cutest pictures of Johnny and Alexis. There are always cute pictures of Benjiman and Meghan. They act like cute little old couples.

Johnny and Meghan loved playing on the new swing set.

A Family Thanksgiving in San Antonio

Kevin serving pie to his parents, Wayne and Darlene.

Kevin's sister Heather and her fiance, Cory.
We made lots of food and everyone ate bunches.
Grandpa Floyd loves his new chair. He is 93 and quite young at heart. "I want more pie!" was heard often from Johnny and Meghan.
We had a wonderful visit and loved spending some quality time with everyone. We are looking forward to going back at Christmas. The men were busy working on the new addition to the house so instead of deep fried turkey, I got to try a new brined roasted turkey recipe. Thanks to Martha Stewart it turned out wonderful. We also had an incredible honey glazed spiral ham with every side dish in the world. It was quite a group effort and turned out wonderful.
We missed my family very much and it is always hard to be away from Tarah during the holidays but we take comfort in the fact that everyone was together in Amarillo for Thanksgiving. We are grateful that everyone is doing so well and we know how lucky we all are in these difficult times.

Trip to Millies to deliver baby stuff......

Johnny and Shaelee played mommy and daddy with their babies all day of our visit to Millies house.
Tarah tried to rest. She had a bad headache that day.

Ashley had a great visit with everyone, and hung out.

Shaelee and Johnny were joined at the hip.

Tarah and Johnny played with Ashley's hamster that lives at Millie's house. Johnny is obsessed with hamsters in balls.

We just got back from taking all my baby stuff to Millies house. Kevin is excited to have an emty space in the garage. I am just so thrilled that I kept it all and that it is still in great shape. Babies never use anything long at that age.

We caught some awful bug!!!

Well somehow Kevin, Johnny, Meghan and I caught some hideous stomach bug. Poor Johnny spent 12 hours through the night throwing up. They are both feeling better now but Kevin and I are having a hard time of it.

More fun from the weekend...

Tarah loves to take pictures of herself with the kids.
Johnny is obsessed with taking pictures of us and "all" of his toys.

His new Buzz phone.

Johnny took a picture of me on the phone with my Mom.

Johnny and Meghan with their favorite toy!

Johnny loses his first tooth and my parents visit!

Johnny lost his first tooth today at school. They gave him a cool little plastic tooth holder for it. We are excited to have the tooth fairy visit tonight!

Meghan likes to kick back and watch tv.
Johnny and Meghan love to play in plastic containers. Here is Johnny showing off his new Buzz Lightyear phone that Grandma tractor got him this weekend.

Meghan and Johnny take turns closing each other up in tubs and then they push each other around on the carpet.

This picture is hard to see but it is of us just hanging out.
Ashley, me, my Mom, Tarah, Alex, my Dad and Meghan.
We had a fabulous visit and the kids were thrilled to have Grandparents to play with.

Meghan starts battling winter Asthma early!

We had Meghan's first doctor visit this morning. As much as we would love to keep her in a bubble, we let her go into the germ filled world. She caught a cough and cold from someone at church or mom's day out and we had to get her a z-pack and some cough meds. So far her wheezing is under control but we like to keep a close eye on her. The last thing we want is for her to go into resp. distress like last year. I will never forget that day at Children's. Her oxygen level was down to 70% and her breathing rate was 90per min. Her whole chest would pull in when she tried to breathe. We are lucky that she has access to the best asthma/allergy doctor in DFW. We also have a great pedi and family doctor. Between the three of them working together and available 24/7, I think she will have an uneventful winter. In the spring she will have her tonsils and adenoids removed and then she begins a 25 week course of allergy shots. The goal is to cure her allergies which triggers her asthma and be able to reduce and/or eliminate the adult steroids she takes to manage her current symptoms. Please pray for a healthy winter for our precious little princess.

My brave little trick or treaters.....

Johnny had no fear of houses this year!

Ashley was dressed up and walked with the kids to each house.

Jennifer helped tinkerbell to fly. Meghan's costume was better for the 85 degree weather.

Here are my three little trick or treaters. Johnny had to lose the headpiece with the heat.

Johnny "Buzz" to the rescue.

Meghan's school Fall Festival.

I was in charge of the duck pond. Only one little boy tried to climb in. Here is Hannah trading her duck for a necklace. My little duck pond booth. Next year, "No water!".

Meghan and her class line up and get ready to go back to class. She loves her teacher and getting to play for a few hours a week with other kids.
Meghan wins a glow stick. Her cute little shirt lit up and says. "My mummy loves me".

Hannah's mom, Tracy works a fishing booth were the kids catch lolipops. Mandy, the school director helps out.

We attempt to carve a pumpkin!!!

By the time we made it to the sad little pumpkin patch by our house there were no pretty ones left. The only one left was bumpy and about 3 inches thick.
Tarah made cookies for a friends birthday.
Ashley and Johnny had the honor of cleaning out the guts!
Johnny did not freak out at the texture of them. He is growing up!

Meghan gets to supervise.
